Welcome to the Dream

A little about me and what I can offer with regards to getting the life you've always dreamed of.

LIVING THE DREAM

3 min read

If you've spent any amount of time on the woo-woo side of Tik Tok, you might have come away with this idea that manifesting everything you've ever dreamed of is easy, or should be. And if you're like me you may have even attempted to manifest a thing or two in your lifetime. I mean, all you really have to do is "believe" that you can do it and tell yourself you have it. Sounds... easy??

After almost 15 years of attempts at manifesting my dream life I realize I had it all wrong, and so did most of those Tik Tok "gurus". There's more to it than just believing it'll walk across your doorstep. In fact, there are a few things you kind of need to really make sure you nail down first if you want to live your dream life. Like, for example: what does your dream life even look like?

That may seem like a silly question at first - because I just know you already have some sort of image in your head re: the dream. But let me take this in segments.

First: What (or who) is your "why"?

Finding your why and keeping that top of mind will help you narrow down what absolutely fits (and what doesn't) in the dream life. More on "finding your why" in the next blog post.

Next: What are your core values?

Knowing the 5 or so core values that guide you in good decision-making for you and for your family is a game-changer!

And finally: What in your current life isn't aligned with both your "why" and your core values that you can begin to cut out?

Find the gaps. These steps are crucial to being able to build the foundation of what your dream life looks like, because they will guide you in every step you take. Because we all only have 24 hours in a day, we need to be mindful about where our energy is flowing.

Now I'd like to talk a little about myself (this is my blog, after all).

I'm a 36-year-old mom of two with a third baby on the way. I quit my job in December 2025 to pursue my dream life of building income that allows me to spend more time with my family. This content creation journey has been my way of expressing everything I've learned along my path.

So, what is my "why"?

This step didn't take me long - my "why" is and has always been my family. Being able to take care of them in a way that fills my cup and theirs is my reason for everything I do now and want to do in the future.

And, just what are my values then? Simply put:

  • Time freedom

  • Financial freedom

  • Presence

  • Self-Sufficiency

  • Authenticity

  • Spirituality

These values should be guiding me in every decision I make. If they aren't, then I'm just an NPC floating on a rock. They give me purpose to what I'm doing. They also helped me with the next step of my journey:

What did I cut out that was no longer aligned with my "dream life"?

My job was the biggest time-suck I had. The problem most people have with just quitting their jobs willy-nilly is the whole needing money thing (obviously). I am fortunate enough to have a supportive husband who pushed me to quit. He knew that, if given more time to my days, I'd spend it building out a better way to live for my family. He had faith - something very important to both of us.

Having that time back gave me opportunities to really focus on content creation and building my platforms. Of course, we're still in the trenches of that. However, would I have even started if I didn't have time to begin?

Several months after quitting, I still live by my why and my values. They are like my internal compass, letting me know if an opportunity is going to be worthwhile to my dream. The image I had in my head has changed. I at first imagined being a passive income millionaire, of course, homesteading by now as well. Now, the vision looks more like being able to spend quality time with my family whenever I want and cutting out frivolous purchases to be able to continue that lifestyle.

I am able to cook nutritious meals for the people I love the most, I do meaningful work every day to create a safe and comfortable space. WAY better than working on spreadsheets for 8 hours a day.
